The Devil's Snare

"The Devil's Snare" is inspired by the magical plant from the first Harry Potter film. In the story, you’re told, "You have to relax; if you don’t, it will only kill you faster." I’ve related this to my experience with anxiety, reminding myself to relax. This thought inspired me to start drawing.

Hidden within the vines are the things that can trigger my anxiety. Look closely, and you’ll find them—no clues though. The roses symbolize beauty, while the skull at the center represents feeling entangled in it all. This piece is a personal depiction of what the inside of my head looks like sometimes, and I wanted to share it.
