Why I Wear Old Elton’s Clothing
For me, it feels like a reward—a smart, distinctive badge of honour that says I’ve been there and come back stronger. It reminds me that it’s perfectly okay to have my “head in the clouds” sometimes; that’s often exactly where I need to be.
Then there’s the clothing itself. Jack sets incredibly high standards for design and quality, and it shows. These are pieces built to last. I can vouch for the socks in particular, having taken them on more than a few long hikes.
What I love most is that the pieces spark conversation. I enjoy talking about them. My “stay strong flower” pin, for instance, moves from jacket to jacket so it’s always visible—and it always prompts a chat.
People notice. And I like to think that some of them go away and look up the brand. Maybe that’s the beginning of understanding that they, too, are allowed to “have a day.”
We'd love to hear your story too!
